Welcome to Sin Gusano. You may have been to one of out pop-up bars, but if you want to get deeper into the most exciting distillates on the planet, this is the event for you! 

The tastings you will experience at these events are curated by Sin Gusano's founder Jon, and feature mezcal sourced by him in Mexico and not available elsewhere in the UK. Check out reviews of previous events on our page here.

Ticket price includes:

  • - Access to the Caldera Bar & Kitchen from 5pm (curated tasting to start at 6.30pm)
  • - Welcome cocktail from host venue
  • - Mexican nibbles
  • - Mezcal presentation
  • - Tastings of between 4-6 different and rare distillates, depending on specifics of presentation + top ups!
  • - Palate cleansing fruits and salts
  • - Menu with tasting notes to take home

  • The Caldera bar & kitchen is open for extra food and drink orders before and after the curated tasting, as well as during a 30 minute interval.

The Sin Gusano Project promotes the diversity and heritage that exists within the world of agave spirits, while broadly encouraging a more conscientious form of consumption. Splitting time between the UK and Mexico, we source micro-batches of craft spirits from different distillers, run a roaming pop-up mezcal bar, and operate Europe’s only agave spirits subscription – the Mezcal Appreciation Society (MAS). The project operates a 10% profit share initiative.

T&Cs

1. The ticket holder voluntarily assumes all risks and danger incidental to the event for which the ticket is issued, whether occurring prior, during or after the event. The ticket holder voluntarily agrees that the management, venue, event participants, DesignMyNight (WFL Media Ltd) and all of their respective agents, officers, directors, owners and employers are expressly released by the ticket holder from any claims arising from such causes.
2. Tickets are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the venue.
3. Please check your tickets, as mistakes cannot always be rectified.
4. Occasionally, events are cancelled or postponed by the promoter, team, performer or venue for a variety of reasons. If the event is cancelled, please contact us for information on receiving a refund from the responsible party. If the event was moved or rescheduled, the venue or promoter may set refund limitations. It is your responsibility to ascertain the date and time of any rearranged event.
5. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission and may on occasion have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of the patrons.
6. Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable break in the event, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
7. We regret that tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded after purchase.
8. Tickets are sold subject to the venue or promoter's right to alter or vary the programme due to events or circumstances beyond its control without being obliged to refund monies or exchange tickets.
9. If this ticket is re-sold or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than the promoter, venue management, DesignMyNight or one of their authorised sub-agents, it will become voidable and the holder may be
refused entry to or ejected from the venue.
10. The venue may operate a No Smoking Policy.
11. The promoter, venue management and DesignMyNight accept no responsibility for any personal property.
12. The event listed on the purchased ticket is strictly for ticket holders who are over 18 years of age. Identification may be required.
13. Obviously this is the era of covid - if we can't go ahead because of government regulation, you will be offered a change of date or a refund

    This was a great night out - informative, fun and generous pours of some very special finds! Jon gave a very engaging presentation on production, spotlighting the producers he sources from and their nuanced approaches, answering our wide range of questions, providing tasting notes and sharing his deep knowledge on the world of agave based spirits. Very happy to have taken away lots of insights as well as two firm favourites from the night with a generous discount! I can't wait for the next one (hint, hint!)

    Really informative, entertaining and knowledgeable, Jon hosted a great night and even stuck around for a few bevies afterwards for some quality chat. We had a brilliant time and even made some new pals along the way. Shout out to Mariachi’s for the scran & cocktails too! Highly recommend buying a bottle too. Cheers! John & Georgia (Team Cubanos)
